Weddings are special not just for groom and bride but for the entire family, especially for cousins for those are the people going to enjoy the most.
Every year wedding season comes and puts you in such a situation where you are left with no choice than to waste lots of money in parlour to be party ready. Ongoing wedding season is not any different. I just have attended my cousin’s wedding and made some mistakes in applying makeup and learnt a lesson quickly.
Skin Preparation and Foundation
While doing makeup make sure you clean your face and moisturize it well. Ladies with fully loaded makeup kit can put a layer of primer as next step, but if you don’t have it, then add a peanut size of aloe vera gel with your mousse and then apply it all over your face and neck. Or, simply use aloe vera gel as primer. In case you are using liquid foundation then you can directly use it.
Concealer is a must as most of us are not fortunate enough to have such a flawless and even tone skin that under eye area matches to rest of the face. So, conceal the flaws in skin tone with it and set the makeup with loose powder or a compact. Now blush on apple of your cheeks and give a layer of highlighter just above the blushing line. While contour with a shade darker just below the blush area.
Eye Makeup
Next comes the eye makeup. For that, apply concealer on eye lid, set with powder and give a golden or silver base as per your cloth. Then choose two eye shadows contrasting to each other, where you have to apply the darker one on the outer corner and lighter one on the inner corner. Blend, blend and blend well.
Now your eye is ready for eye liner and mascara, followed by highlighter on the inner most corner of your eyes. If you want, wear the false lashes for the dramatic look.
Lip Color
Lipstick comes the next, now make a lip liner and instead of making your lip look bigger, go with your lip shape, fill with shade according to your cloth colour, and you are ready to go. And, your makeup is complete now.
Needless to say, there are many tutorials available on the Internet for specialized makeup. But believe me, they are just not easy, especially for those women, who occasionally apply full makeup. So just remember one mantra, ‘less is more’ for you can add on anything easily, but if anything is more than required, then it is really hard to cover up.
