Drama movies are the specialities of Bollywood. Audience loves such movies. With lots of obvious drama and noise, when movies show up a happy ending, it keeps shuttling in audience’s mind for a while and they like to talk about it. And this is what we expect from a drama movie. But what if a movie has everything including drama, romance, comedy and all, but you feel something is missing out. It simply means, movie could not do the magic on people’s mind. The movie Hum Do Hamare Do has everything, and the length of the film is more than two hours, with a strong star case, so let’s talk what is positive and negative points of this cinema.
The movie revolves around an orphan boy and his expectations from live and views to live up to them. Also, it talks about his ambition to make his life on his own will. A 12–13-year-old boy Dhruv (Rajkummar Rao), who leaves his spoken uncle from his work at an eatery in search of his destiny. He becomes successful as well as he develops his own app, which amazingly takes you to a happy virtual trip. In his inner heart, he dreamt for a family and he met a girl Anya (Kirti Sanon). Their love story reached to the marriage also, but the girl had also lost her parents in her childhood, but her uncle-aunt brought up her, so she doesn’t miss parent’s love. But she dreams for a family with huge family, especially for in-laws love and compassion. This is the problem the movie revolves around. His friend Senty (Aparshakti Khurrana) and spoken uncle (Paresh Rawal) help him with that.
The star cast is the strongest point of this movie, which includes: Rajkummar Rao, Kriti Sanon, Aparshakti Khurrana, Prachi Shah, Sanand Verma, Paresh Rawal and Ratna Pathak Shah. With such high voltage star cast expectations go higher.
Many of the scenes are predictable that makes it flat. Even after enough of twists and turns, it barely ignites curiosity. Moreover, the romance doesn’t make feel earthy and hardly seen established between the protagonists. Strong dialogs are barely there, so what the strong star cast would do. Songs are just okey.
