Hair fall and dandruff are common problems in winters and rainy seasons. Not only medicines or applying hair packs can prevent these problems, but if you consider changing your daily attitude towards hair care, it can also reduce hair related problems and the rate of hair fall.
Let’s begin with some of the dos and don’ts to prevent hair damage:
- Cleanliness is important
Dandruff and itchy scalp is the root of all hair problems. So, always keep your hair clean and dry. Try to wash your hair before it gets too dirty and massage your hair with good hair oil, like: almond oil, coconut oil, mustered oil, olive oil etc. any one which suits you the best before washing your hair.
- Oil massage
It is really important as oil massage keeps your scalp alive. It means, an oil massage can improve the blood flow in scalp cells which in turn, results in relieve from dandruff, adds shine and glow and improves hair growth. So, massage at least once a week for improved hair will be a good idea.
- Avoid hot water
Say no to hot water bath as it wipes away the natural oil from scalp and makes it dry and brittle. Not only this, it causes increase in dandruff and dullness to the hair. Always choose normal water or just a bit warmer than to your body temperature. Don’t let protective oil striped away from your scalp, use normal or lukewarm water.
- Don’t wash your hair that frequently
If you want to keep the natural body and luster of your hair then do not wash it too frequently. Wash your hair every two to three days. This will regulate the natural oil of your scalp. It is a well proven the best idea to protect your hair from dryness and dullness, so, utilize it.
- Use protection before jumping into the pool
It is very nice to jump in to the swimming pool and sink in it then bath. But did you know that these pools have chlorophylls mixed in the water to save them for longer and for the blue color. It can damage your hair and cause worse to it. So, to prevent this damage either, apply some of the conditioner before going into it, or wear a bathing cap, or apply oil.
- Tight is NO-NO
Never opt for a hair style that binds your hair very tight, especially if you have damaged hair or have a problem of hair fall.
